ROYSTON Lions have a new president.
Janet Daniels has taken over the role, having until recently chaired the club's fundraising committee.
A resident of the Royston area for more than 40 years, Janet is a former Brown Owl with Brownie Packs in Royston and Melbourn, as well as being Treasurer of Melbourn Swimming Club.
As chairman of the fundraising committee, Janet introduced a number of new events that have brightened up Royston's social calendar as well as raising impressive amounts of money for good causes, which this year will include Royston and South Cambridgeshire Home-Start and Addenbrookes Teenage Cancer Unit.
The club currently has openings for new members interested in making a contribution to the community - whatever they have time for - and having fun in the process.
There are opportunities for both individuals and couples of all ages. Anyone interested in finding out more can contact Janet on 01763 260009 or by email; daniels441@btinternet.com.
Alternatively, visit the club website: http://www.roystonlions.org.uk.
