The parents of a one-year-old girl who died of blood cancer in 2010 said the fundraiser they held at the newly-renovated Royston Day Nursery was very emotional.
Mia Samuels’ family throw regular fundraisers for Bloodwise cancer charity in her memory.
“We had a good turn-out from the community,” said Nicola, Mia’s mum.
“Families enjoyed all the activities including perfomances by GStars, and lots of people commented on what a nice way it was to remember Mia.
“I gave a speech sharing Mia’s journey and why we want to keep her legacy alive – it moved many people who were very emotional.”
