BUNTINGFORD'S new town sign was unveiled on Saturday.
Mayor, Councillor John Noades, performed the ceremony at Market Hill after the sign had undergone several weeks of restoration work.
The sign which now incoporates the Spanish flag, honours the town's twinning with Olvega in Spain.
It was restored by the Buntingford Civic Society at a cost of about £1,200 - money raised through the Buntingford Journal.
Civic society chairman Derek Cooper said: "The sign looks smashing. It has been refreshed and looks attractive.
"It expresses civic pride and honours all three towns - Buntingford and its two twin towns, Olvega in Spain, and Luynes in France.
