The women’s section of the Royston Royal British Legion closed its doors on Monday, 60 years after they first opened.
Former chairman Susan Titmuss, said: “We hardly get new members anymore and nobody could take over as chairman. We would meet on Mondays and organise fundraisers and take part in activities. It was a big part of Royston at one time but not anymore, it’s sad.”
