ROYSTON scooped a silver award in the town category of this year's Anglia in Bloom contest.
Representatives from the Royston in Bloom committee were presented with a certificate at the awards ceremony in Ipswich yesterday (Wednesday).
Judges were also impressed by the Priory Memorial Gardens displays, which were nominated for the public open space award, and the town's environmental projects, which received a nomination in the environmental quality category.
Angela Louch, of the Royston in Bloom committee, said: "We are delighted that all our hard work has been rewarded.
"There were only about four gold awards made in the region, so to receive a silver again is a great achievement.
