Investigations are continuing into the discovery of a mystery, a human jawbone in a Royston bush.

The Crow reported last month that emergency services were called to Priory Lane on August 10, after the discovery of what was later identified as being part of a jawbone.

A police spokeswoman said this week that the force is unable to reveal anything more at this stage.

She said: “Investigations are continuing following the discovery of a jawbone in Royston.

“There are several lines of enquiry which we are following up and further work will be taking place in and around the area where the bone was discovered as part of these investigations.

“Until we know more, it would be inappropriate for us to comment further.”
