SCHOOLchildren got a taste of Army life at Bassingbourn Barracks when the Army opened its doors for the annual exhibition for schools.
More than15,000 students from schools across the country attended the three-day event, including Bassingbourn Village College and Freman College, Buntingford.
Teams of students could take part in events such as the tug-of-war and obstacle course, while the opportunity was also available to meet soldiers face to face and learn about the 140 careers the army has to offer.
In the main arena crowds were entertained by the Red Devils parachute display team, The Band of the Parachute Regiment, and a mock infantry battle.
