Up to 1,000 classic and contemporary cars will be revving up the Bank Holiday Weekend fun at an air museum.

The Imperial War Museum Duxford’s spring car show takes place on Sunday, May 4, with car clubs from around the Eastern region set to flock to the event.

Those attending will include the 7 Series Register (BMW) Club, the Alvis Owners Club, the Mustang Owners Club, the BMW Car Club, the Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club, the TVR Car Club, the Mercedes-Benz Club, the E Type Jaguar Club (East Anglia), the Cambridge and District Classic Car Club, the Sunbeam Alpine Owners’ Club and the Lotus Forums.

For those who prefer vehicles on a bigger scale, tank demonstrations will be taking place in the tank arena, to the rear of the museum’s Land Warfare exhibition from 2pm. Tank rides will also be available from 2.30pm.

As well as the vehicles, there will be plenty of family fun on offer, including face painting and a caricaturist. The museum is open from 10am-5pm.
