A shed belonging to the secretary of an allotments committee has been stolen from her Melbourn plot by thieves.
As well as the shed, garden tools and bird scarers were also swiped from The Moor allotments sometime between Thursday, March 30, and Sunday, April 2, leaving owner Diana Barker ‘absolutely gutted’.
“I can’t believe the pettiness of this crime,” she said.
“Not only my shed, but every one of my tools, and even my bird scarers have been taken. I suspect the items may have already been sold off at a car boot sale.”
