Husband's tribute to wife

The husband of 79-year-old Joyce Littlewood, who died in an accident on the A505 near Ashwell, on January 17, has paid tribute to her. Mrs Littlewood, who lived in Letchworth, was married to John, who was injured in the accident, for 32 years. He said:

Mrs Littlewood, who lived in Letchworth, was married to John, who was injured in the accident, for 32 years.

He said: "Joyce was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

"She was always willing to help people, and had a sweet caring nature.

"She loved to cook and had won many prizes at local shows.

"We had many wonderful years together and her death has left a huge gap in all our lives. She will be greatly missed.

"I would also like to thank the people who stopped to aid Joyce and me at the time of the accident."

Mr Littlewood's daughter Maria and her husband Lloyd said they were grateful to the emergency services who attended the scene, and to staff at Addenbrooke's Hospital for taking care of Mr Littlewood

Mrs Littlewood leaves a son Raymond, daughter Dee, two grandsons, two granddaughters, and a great-grandson.
