AFTER operating for just under month without permission to sell alcohol, the Banyers Hotel in Royston has received its new licence. from North Herts District Council's licensing panel. A council spokesman said: "The hotel had been late applying for permission despite reminders." The hotel had temporary licences allowing the sale of alcohol at certain periods, but for the remainder of the time it was not licensed.
