Home-Start’s new volunteers to help local families

NEWLY-trained volunteers from a charity are ready to support families in Crow country.

Home-Start Royston and South Cambridgeshire have put seven new carers through a ten week training course and will now unleash them on families that need help in the area.

Barbara Blower, Scheme Manager for Home-Start, said: “The course enabled them to be able to offer home visiting support to families in Royston and the surrounding villages.

“I would like to thank Andy Powney, the Welfare Officer at ATR Bassingbourn Barracks, who kindly gave Home-Start the use of a training room for the duration of the course and also to The Brian Leslie Racher Trust who contributed towards the cost of this training course.”
