A POLICE helicopter was summoned to help with the search for a gang who stole a caravan.
The caravan was taken from Morden Hall Farm, near Litlington, at just before 5pm on Tuesday.
Neighbourhood police officers spotted the stolen caravan being towed along Old North Road in Royston by a Toyota pick up truck at 5.10pm. However, when they pulled the vehicle over the occupants made off.
Officers from Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire conducted a search for the men, with the help of the Hertfordshire Police helicopter and a dog team. However, they were not apprehended.
