A DREAM came true for a woman from Royston when she mounted a Harley Davidson motorcycle on her birthday.

Linda Perkins of Orchard Surgery in Melbourn said the experience which was organised by her colleagues and Steve Coningsby of the Royston and District Motorcycle Club, was something she will never forget.

Linda mounted the motorcycle with Andy Warren of the Fenlanders Harley Club.

Mr Coningsby said: "Linda saw the helmet and leathers and proceeded to turn a lighter shade of pale."

Linda said: "I'd always wanted to ride a Harley after going on my brothers motorbike as a teenager."

"At first I was scared but by the end I had my thumbs up in the air. It was better than expected and something I will never forget.
