As part of its commitment to supporting the community, workers from Royston technology company Johnson Matthey have been giving a helping hand to local charities over the winter months.
Employees donated more than 100 brand new toys to family charity Home-Start and 25 hampers were sent to the Winter Comfort day shelter for the homeless.
More than £500 was raised for chosen charity of the year Cancer Research UK through the Wear A Christmas Jumper fundraising day.
Site and community liason officer Deb McGarrity said: “Several collection boxes at reception points across the site were in place and it was good to see so many people taking part.”
Father Christmas, his elf and others in the JM volunteer team also helped serve up a Christmas roast dinner at the Make Lunch Charity Christmas party at Royston Town Hall.
