CELEBRITIES and former Arsenal favourites returned to Buntingford on Sunday for another 90 minutes of entertaining action.

In another successful game, an Arsenal Celebrity XI faced a team of Hertfordshire firefighters to raise money for charity.

Organised by Buntingford firefighters, the match raised more than £700, which will be split between the Fire Service Benevolent Fund and a number of Arsenal charities.

Organiser Tony Dent said: "We would have liked more people to have turned out, but overall everyone there had a good day. I think the weather dampened a few spirits.

"However, we've raised money for a very good cause which will help fund the rehabilitation centre. The centre needs a lot of money at the moment because it is open 24 hours a day for seven days a week. So the money raised will help out in a big way."

The game finished 1-1, with Buntingford firefighter Stuart Lawrence scoring the firefighters' goal.

The Arsenal team included former players Ian Allinson and Tony Murtagh, Somerset cricketer John Wall, magician Marvin Berglas, and actor Mark Burdis.

Tony added: "The game was good fun and a 1-1 draw was probably a fair result.
