A DOG owner could be prosecuted after a girl was attacked by her Doberman at the weekend.
The 14-year-old , who has not been identified, was bitten on the top of her right leg in Boot Lane, Barrington, at 3.15pm on Sunday.
She required hospital treatment following the attack.
Police officers have taken a statement from the victim and have spoken to the dog owner.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said: "We are looking into a crime of allowing a dog to be dangerously out of control in a public place causing injury.
"A file is going to be submitted to the Crown Prosecution Service who will decide whether they can press charges.
