CREATIVE pupils took part in a day of art, and got their hands dirty by making a giant sculpture at their school.
The art day, which is always a popular event at Therfield First School, gave youngsters the chance to use a wide variety of resources, including bark, twigs, sawdust, and wood shavings.
Pupils also used materials such as wool, cotton, silk and rafia to create a landscape of the countryside in which they live and come to school.
Cambridge sculptor CJ Mahony also joined the fun and games and helped the pupils.
The sculpture has been placed in the school grounds and will be a feature over the summer months.
Teacher Christine Taylor said: "They produced some lovely work and the sculpture looks great.
