People living in Royston and South Cambs are invited to run one, three or six miles as part of a fun event in aid of Sports Relief.
And there’s still time to bag a place and purchase the requisite deely-boppers for Sunday’s Great Chishill Mile.
The fundraising event will be opened by South Cambs MP Heidi Allen and will take place at the highest point in Cambridgeshire, the Great Chishill Playing Fields.
Organiser Sarah Scott said: “We are delighted that so many people have already signed up, but we want even more people in South Cambridgeshire, Essex and Hertfordshire to take part and make it the best Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile yet.
“So let’s show the rest of the country what we can do and raise as much money as we possibly can for this incredible cause.”
Registration opens at 11am, there will be a musical warm-up at 11.45am and Heidi Allen will start the event at 12 midday.
Great Chishill has organised a mile event each year since 2006 and organisers say they have always been well attended, due to the relaxed, family-orientated atmosphere.
