THE sunshine came out on Sunday to save the Thriplow Daffodil Festival from being a washout.
Visitors on Saturday had to endured rain and even hail showers as they walked round the village admiring the daffodils and inspecting the various gardens that were open to the public.
But on Sunday thousands flocked to the 41st festival as the sun came out to enjoy the home made cakes and teas at the village school, take horse-drawn trailer rides, watch the Morris men and get some bargains at the many stalls on the village green.
And nobody went hungry with a hog roast outside the Green Man that eventually sold out it was so popular.
