PUPILS at Tannery Drift School, Royston, got out their frying pans and marked Shrove Tuesday with a pancake race.
The traditional event saw teams from each class take part in the race, while the teachers also held their own competition.
Head teacher Anna Greetham said: "The reception children enjoyed making the pancakes and we all had a good time.
"The teachers' race was a close- run thing, with the team of Matthew Brazier and Rose Vollans winning in the end," she said.
