The funeral arrangements for former councillor and Crow editor Les Baker have been announced.
Hardworking Les, nicknamed ‘Mr Royston’, passed away earlier this month after a period of illness. He was 68.
The service will take place next Thursday, May 26, at Cambridge Crematorium, where there will be a short committal at 11.15am.
A service of celebration at the Church of St John the Baptist in Royston will begin at 2pm, followed by a gathering at the town hall.
Les’s wife Chris has asked people to do what suits them best – if you can’t make the morning you’ll be welcome at the church or vice versa. Feel free to pop in to the get-together afterwards, or just be there in spirit.
