FOUR men had a lucky escape when the car they were travelling in was in collision with an articulated lorry earlier yesterday (Thursday) afternoon in Royston.
The East of England Ambulance Service was alerted to the A505 between Newmarket Road and Hyde Hill Farm in Royston at 3.37pm. Five Ambulance crews from Letchworth GC, Royston and Stevenage attended the incident.
Ambulance service spokesman Gary Sanderson, who attended the scene, said: "It appears the lorry collided with the rear of the car and pushed it on to a grass bank. The four men in the car all received injuries, and following treatment and stabilisation by paramedics, were all taken to the Lister Hospital in Stevenage."
The lorry driver was checked over by paramedics and was uninjured.
