TWO people had to be cut from their vehicles after a four-car crash near Royston yesterday.

Police and fire crews were called to the scene of the incident, on the A505, at just before 10am on Sunday.

Fire fighters using cutting equipment had to free two of the motorists, and three people were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for treatment.

The A505 was closed at the junction with Newmarket Road, and Icknield Walk was also shut. The roads had reopened by 1pm.
