ILLUSTRIOUS alumni from a sixth-form college returned to face current students last week.

The 13 former Freman College, Buntingford, students visited the college to talk about their careers in fields as diverse as bio-veterinary science, history, nursing and pharmaceuticals, and offer advice to current students who are thinking about their futures.

Head of sixth form at Freman College, Will Abell, said, “Our Year 12 students are at the stage where they are starting to think about what they might like to do when they leave us at the end of the year, and are researching the various options available to them.

“We are enormously grateful that so many of our ex-students offered their time to help them out with advice about the university courses or careers they are currently pursuing, and know that many found the experience extremely valuable.”

The event was arranged by Future First, an education charity which works with schools to set up networks of their former students.
