FORMER Hollyoaks actor and Royston resident Paul Danan was slapped with a hefty fine last week after being found guilty of behaving in a disorderly manner on the railway.

The ex-Celebrity Love Island contestant had pleaded not guilty to behaving in a disorderly, indecent or offensive manner at Ashwell and Morden Station on December 2.

He was forced to pay a total of 795 at Stevenage Magistrates Court on Friday – a 160 fine, 620 court costs and 15 victim surcharge.

The Jepps Lane resident was asked to leave the first class carriage of a Cambridge bound train from London King’s Cross at around 4.30pm, but became abusive and swore at the ticket inspector when he couldn’t supply a valid ticket. He was then kicked off the train at Ashwell and Morden Station.

Danan played Sol Patrick in Hollyoaks from 1997 to 2001, and appeared on Celebrity Love Island in 2005 and 2006.
