A developer’s bid to change the use of a vacant Royston shop is set to be turned down for a third time.
The owners of 15 High Street, have submitted a change of use application which would allow the shop to be used as a hot food takeaway.
However, planning officers at North Herts District Council are recommending the application be refused, and Royston Town Council’s planning committee opposed the change at its meeting on Monday.
If unsuccessful, it will be the third time a change of use application for the shop, which used to be the Garden House Hospice store, has been rejected in the last six months.
