ROYSTON residents were given an unexpected aeronautical treat last Tuesday when an RAF fly-by passed over the town.

The aircraft and an E-3D Sentry were enroute to a service in London honouring servicemen who took part in the Libyan conflict.

An E-3D Sentry and one Sentinel aircraft from RAF Waddington flew over the Houses of Parliament to mark the occasion, flanked by Typhoons and Tornado GR4 jets.

Some of the RAF aircraft instrumental in the success of Operation Ellamy, the military intervention in Libya.
