A TEAM of Royston firefighters swapped their hoses for pressure washers to raise money at a charity car wash.
In a joint effort with Tesco in the town, more than 400 was raised for the Alzheimer’s Society, the store’s charity of the year.
Mandy Jinkerson, Tesco’s community champion, said: “We had a great day and had a lot of fun, while at the same time raising money for this fantastic charity.
“We would like to thank all customers and staff for their donations and would like to especially thank the firemen for giving up their valuable time.”
