Fire service welcome seven retained Royston officers to the team

Hertfordshire's Fire and Rescue Service has officially welcomed seven retained officers from Royston to the team after the group passed their training.
The recruits were welcomed at a ceremony at Longfield Training Centre, Stevenage on Thursday.
Team members are expected to respond to alerts within four minutes and provide at least 90 hours of cover a week.
Councillor Richard Thake, cabinet member for community safety said: “I would like to congratulate the new recruits. This career offers an exceptional range of opportunities.”
