Fire fighters tackle barn fire near Flint Cross

FIRE crews are currently battling a barn blaze near the Flint Cross turning of the A505. Six crews, one from Royston, one from Sawston, two from Cambridge, one from Gamlingay, and one from Saffron Walden are at the scene of the fire, at Grange Farm, Heyd

FIRE crews are currently battling a barn blaze near the Flint Cross turning of the A505.

Six crews, one from Royston, one from Sawston, two from Cambridge, one from Gamlingay, and one from Saffron Walden are at the scene of the fire, at Grange Farm, Heydon.

A fire service spokesman said 999 calls started to come in at around 8.35am this morning. The A505 remains open in both directions.
