AN AUCTION of more than 200 classic film posters will take place this weekend.

The posters, which came from the vaults of Ely cinema, will be sold off on Saturday (October 18) at Orwell Village Hall.

Caroline Cawley, from Arts Development in East Cambridgeshire, which has organised the auction, said: "With no reserve on many of the items, the minimum bid will be £3 per lot, but we are hoping some of the lots will go for much more - it's a great chance to pick up a piece of cinema history."

Posters from films include Tomorrow Never Dies and ET, and modern works such as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon and Harry Potter.

The auction will begin at 4pm. Further information is available at the website www.adec.org.uk.
