STUDENTS at Melbourn Village College have been wowing audiences with a production of Fiddler on the Roof.
The play was performed over three nights in the college hall, with talented students taking roles both on and off stage.
Head of performing arts, Paul Belbin, said: "The 70 students involved in the production learnt a great deal about team work and meeting deadlines.
"The performers also realised that in the theatre, lighting, sound, stage design, makeup, marketing and stage management are of equal importance when putting on a show."
Although the musical explores some serious issues, there was also a great deal of laughter, largely provided by the character of Tevye, played by Year 11 student Elliot Mepham. Mr Belbin praised his performance for featuring "real depth and maturity".
Beside him, Year 10 student Jade Harley-Smith also impressed as Golde.
