AFRICA will be the theme at Steeple Morden Primary School's summer fete on Saturday.

The event is being run by the school's parent-teacher association, which aims to raise money for a fitness track around the school's playing field.

Activites and entertainment will include an inflatable slide, a ride-on train, face-painting, African dancing, Egyptian belly dancing, and a range of stalls.

The highlight of the day will be a 30ft climbing wall.

The event will open at 2pm and adult admission is 50 pence, children free when accompanied by an adult.
