FIREFIGHTERS were deciding last night (Wednesday) whether to accept new proposals from Herts County Council in a bid to end their long-running dispute.
The Fire Brigades Union (FBU) was talking to members to see whether the proposals are acceptable.
The results of the talks were reported to last night's meeting of the FBU committee.
The FBU is disputing proposals set out in a new Community Safety Plan which will include a reduction of firefighters at Royston fire station and a change to working patterns.
