A faulty set of traffic lights have been causing confusion this morning (Thursday).
The traffic lights at The Cross junction which links Melbourn Street, Kneesworth Street and Baldock Road have not been working since around 9am, causing congestion and confusion among drivers.
A spokesman for Hertfordshire County Council maintenance contractor Ringway said that the signals were working again at around midday.
