Family pay tribute to second A10 crash victim

The family of 17-year-old Charlotte Dove, who died following a collision on the A10, have paid tribute to her.

Charlotte had been on her way to The Dance College in Royston on Tuesday when the collision occurred.

The Citroen C1 hit a deer before colliding with another car and bursting into flames. Miss Dove and her friend, Daniela Ruggiero were pronounced dead at the scene.

A statement issued by her family read: “Charlotte was gorgeous inside and out. We have always been very close as a family and we are so proud of what she has achieved. She was extremely loyal to family and friends. We will all miss her very much.

“Charlotte began dancing at the age of three; it is all she ever wanted to do. She would dance anywhere and everywhere. No-one could come to our house without her encouraging them to dance or her putting on a show.

“Her dream from a young age was to become a dance teacher. She was fulfilling that dream having auditioned a year early at the age of 17 for the Dance College and was blessed to be able to dance and teach. She was a talented and beautiful dancer who was so elegant and graceful when she performed. Our proudest moments and fondest memories will be of watching her dance.

“We would like to thank family and friends for all their support. Our thoughts are also with Daniela’s family.”

Miss Ruggiero’s’s family recently paid tribute to her. In a statement, they said: “Daniela was a very special and much loved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend. She will be greatly missed by everyone who was touched by her greatness. She was born to dance, and is now dancing with the angels. A true star in our lives.”
