CROWDS roared with delight while celebrating the 15th birthday of Amba the Tiger at Shepreth Wildlife Park on Sunday.
Families attending the event were treated to a host of activities including face painting, arts and crafts and a magic show.
The Wildlife Park plays an important role in in International Tiger conservation, and the emphasis on Sunday was awareness of how few of these animals (only around 4,000 ) are left in the wild.
A spokesman said: “It was an excellent day for everyone who attended. It’s great that we get to share these beautiful but endangered animals for everyone to see.”
Combined with the Park, the Willars family, who have owned the Park for nearly 30 years, also operate the Shepreth Wild Life Conservation Charity which to date has raised over £70,000 to assist in helping to protect wild animals from poachers and habitat destruction.
