DESPITE their regular 'keeper being unable to play due to injury Bassingbourn showed their strength in depth by winning this fixture 4-0.
It was end-to-end to start with and the home team saw a shot hit the post after eight minutes. Bassingbourn then had a number of chances to score but half time arrived with the score tied at 0-0.
Sean Faillettaz opened the scoring just after half time and this was followed by a well taken hat-trick from Matthew Lovejoy.
The four goal win was well deserved and the club were delighted with the whole team, especially the defence which did not give the opposition a chance.
