Pre-school children inspected their new surroundings this week as work got underway on an expansion project.
Bumpkins Nursery in Whaddon is based on a working farm, and is building an additional pre-school classroom which will allow the nursery to take a further 22 children,
Owner Michaela Vaux said: “I am delighted that work has started on the new build, in addition to another room we are adding air conditioning, a new office and lobby area plus developing our grass meadow into more play areas for our children, tunnels, balancing and wooden play equipment. We even have a mud kitchen for outside which sits alongside two willow domes.”
The work is being carried out by Taylor and Turner, a firm of builders who are based in Melbourn, and members of the pre-school donned their high-visibility jackets to take a close look at the work being carried out.
