POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car they asked to stop almost hit a woman and two children as it made a getaway.
Officers requested the car to stop at around 10.40am on Monday January 10 in Stamford Avenue, Royston. The vehicle continued travelling and went on to mount a kerb, near to where the three were walking in Mill Road, before continuing into Kneesworth Street and Newmarket Road.
The Audi A4 is believed to have been driven by a man aged between 25 and 35 years old, with short hair.
Officers are asking that anyone who believes they saw this vehicle around the time of this incident, to ring the non-emergency number 0845 33 00 222, quoting unique reference number 253. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
