A MAN has admitted theft from the bookies he worked at.
Lee Curry, 25, had pleaded guilty to stealing �1,230 from Coral on Kneesworth Street, Royston, sometime between Wednesday September 8 and Tuesday October 12.
He was given an eight month prison sentence, suspended for two years, must carry out 180 unpaid work and must undergo education, training and employment requirements. He is also to pay �150 prosecution costs.
The Letchworth resident gave his plea at Cambridge Crown Court last month, and was sentenced on Tuesday April 19.
