FIREFIGHTERS and ambulance personnel from Crow country reunited at Royston fire station.

The station hosted a reunion of almost 100 retired fire and ambulance personnel on Saturday.

Catching up with old friends was the order of the day, but guests were also given an insight into new equipment and appliances.

Sean Comerford, Royston station commander, said: "Royston Fire and Ambulance Stations have a long and proud tradition of serving our local community and it was a very proud moment for us to be able to say a small thank you to so many people who played their part in making the station what it is today"

Adding some vintage class to proceedings was a 1950's Daimler Ambulance brought along by Rod Taylor, area manager for East of England Ambulance Service. This stood side by side with a modern Mercedes ambulance
