Emergency crews attend fires across Crow country

Emergency services attended two fires in Crow country in the early hours of this morning (Friday).

Fire crews were called to a fire at an electrical substation fire in Bassingbourn at 12.44am. The base of a pole had caught alight and was extinguished using a bucket of water by 2.14am.

Services were then called to a second incident involving a small vehicle in Shingay cum Wendy. Reports came in at 3.29am of a car on fire in Flecks Lane.

One hose reel was used to put out the flames. Officers have noted the incident as suspicious. Anyone with information regarding the fire should contact the police on the non-emergency number 101.
