Elderly residents at a Royston retirement complex have been able to return to their homes after a burst pipe flooded more than half the flats.
The fire service were called to Kennedy Court in Fish Hill on Sunday, February 12, to reports of flooding in the block – affecting 17 of the 29 homes.
The residents were asked to evacuate the premises and had to find alternative accommodation, but yesterday afternoon they were being contacted by FirstPort Retirement Property Services to let them know they could move back in after the plumbing issue was resolved.
