Drugs were seized in a raid by the UK Border Agency in Royston.
The raid took place in the early hours of Thursday, May 22, and saw officers from the Royston Safer Neighbourhood team assist the Border Agency officials in searching a house in Field Crescent, Royston.
Steve Oliphant, Royston’s Neighbourhood Sergeant, said the raid was carried out after a tip-off that a package containing drugs had been sent to the house. Drugs were seized an a man was arrested.
Sergeant Oliphant said: “The resident, a 39 year male has been arrested and bailed to return to Stevenage Police Station at a later date.
“This is the second warrant my team have carried out in the last few weeks around drugs which sends out a very clear message that we will take positive action around illegal drugs, whether it be personal possession or supply.”
