Part of the M11 remained closed for hours after a car fire yesterday morning in which a man died.
Police were called at about 8.10am to reports of a car on fire at the southbound carriageway near Junction 12 just after Barton.
There were long delays as the southbound carriageway was closed between Junction 12 and Junction 11.
Police say that there was no indication of a collision taking place or any other vehicles being involved in the incident.
A fire investigation is under way to determine the cause.
