ARTISTS are set to display their work in the Cambridge Drawing Society's 127th exhibition.

The annual exhibition at The Guildhall, Cambridge, will see about 200 works on display submitted by amateur and professional artists.

Drawings, contemporary paintings, limited edition prints and sculptures will be among some of the pieces on show.

Rachel Haynes, a society member from Bassingbourn, said: "The build-up to the event is hectic as usual, but everything is in place for another successful exhibition which is usually an eagerly anticipated event.

The society was founded in 1882 and is one of the oldest in the country.

Former members include, Cecil Beaton and Ronald Searle.

The exhibition will start tomorrow (Friday) and run until May 6.

Admission is free and doors will be open from 10am to 5.30pm, but closing at 4pm on the last day.
