DOG owners are being warned to keep their dogs on the lead on private farm land in Cambridgeshire, after a sheep was killed earlier this month.

PC Paul Carter, from the Rural Community Action Team, said: "It's worth remembering that if a landowner sees a dog off the lead on their land near to livestock they have the legal right to destroy the animal.
