A DEVASTATED teenager has had the motorbike he brought with his life savings stolen.

The Sawa 250 Grasstrack bike belonging to Camron Willis-Wright, 14, was stolen, along with four others, from a lock up last week.

His mum, Sara Willis-Wright, said: "Camron is absolutely devastated. He has saved and worked to purchase his own motorbike, which gave him a real sense of achievement.

"Most of his free time is spent with his cousins, uncle and grandpa helping out with and riding the motorbike.

"It was his 14th birthday earlier this month, and he spent all his birthday money buying a chain and some sprockets. Now someone has done this, and all that saving, work and effort put in over years has gone overnight."

The bike is one of only around 30 of its type in the country. The raiders also grabbed a Suzuki RM85, a Beta Rev 3 trials bike, a Honda XR100 and a Honda XR200.

Mrs Willis-Wright said Camron, who attends The Meridian School, had been using the bike for grass track racing.

"Sadly he was going to have to give up racing as we couldn't afford to support him," she said.

"I have tried to bring my child up with respect for hard work and saving, and to see this happen to Camron is sickening. He lives for his bikes and riding gives him the opportunity to do something constructive with his time."

The raid took place overnight on Monday last week. Anyone with any information, or who has been offered the bikes, should contact Hertfordshire Police on their non-emergency number, 0845 3300 222.

Mrs Willis-Wright, who is a professional face painter, is trying to raise money for a replacement bike for Camron by offering her face painting services in exchange for donations. Any group or individual who is interested can contact her on 01763 244 255.
